CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19): Important Updates Regarding DEFER and OST Operations

Our office is working quickly to adapt to the new realities and challenges brought on by the coronavirus. We are working hard to maintain service levels during this difficult and uncertain time while minimizing potential disruptions. I assure you that our team remains committed to providing high quality, responsive service to state agencies, employees and business partners. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to implement new and innovative ways to meet your needs throughout the duration of this crisis.

We added a new page to our website to address some of the questions we are receiving about DEFER accounts and the impact of coronavirus on OST operations. I encourage you to visit this page and contact our office if you are still uncertain about how these changes might impact you. Additionally, please consider visiting and sharing the Department of Health and Social Services’s informative coronavirus webpage, if you have broader concerns about the impact of coronavirus on the state of Delaware.

Please be safe, practice good hygiene and stay in touch with your loved ones. It is through our combined efforts that we will contain this virus, minimizing the impact on our communities and the economy as a whole.

We will get through this together.

Thank you,

Colleen C. Davis

State Treasurer
