Outreach Specialist

Position Title:

  • Academia Antonia Alonso Outreach Specialist Supervisor: Director of School – Chair of Marketing Committee Status: Part-time
  • Summary of Position:
  • The Outreach Specialist will be responsible for recruitment of applicants into Academia Antonia Alonso Charter School, from now on AAA. The Specialist will conduct parent information sessions, phone follow up calls, and outreach initiatives on dual language and Expeditionary Learning. The Specialist will also be responsible for delivering brochures, flyers and pertinent documents to families to properly enroll in AAA. Participate in community events and research the opportunities for AAA to be represented in the targeted public will be part of his/her job.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School degree and two years of experience in sales, outreach, marketing or event planning. • Bilingual/Bicultural (Spanish/English)
  • Strong interpersonal, planning and communication skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours when necessary.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Conduct parent information sessions on how to enroll and inform about the advantages of being an AAA student. (usually adding to daycares, preK, etc. parents nights)  Speak before community groups.
  • Conduct research to determine where community events are held and participate as appropriate.
  • Gather information of number of families reached, contacted and served in an organized manner.
  • Conduct follow-up by verifying information through phone contact.
  • Conduct outreach initiatives to attract participants to the school and disseminate education about Expeditionary Learning and Dual Language.
  • Establish connections with current families to give referrals. • Serve as liaison between families and feeder schools during the choice period, if needed.
  • Participate in school’s Open Houses and events if necessary.
  • Maintain documentation of all efforts.
  • Maintain confidentiality of students and families information, action and records.

Other Duties:

  • Participate in other internal and external activities as directed by your supervisor.
  • Provide reports and/or analysis as necessary.
  • Other duties that may arise at the request of your supervisor.
